Getting to Coll
You will feel a million miles away from home on the Isle of Coll and the gentle pace of life here is apparent the moment you arrive. Although it may seem like another world, getting to Coll is relatively easy by ferry or plane.
Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries
The ferry service to Coll is run by Caledonian MacBrayne and sails from Oban on the west coast of Scotland. During the summer months (March – October) there is a daily service with crossings taking just under three hours. The ferry to Coll also services the neighbouring island of Tiree and on Wednesdays you have the opportunity to visit Tiree on a day trip.
During the winter months, the ferry sails every day except Wednesdays and Fridays.
The ferries to Coll get booked up very quickly during the summer months and school holidays. If you are bringing a car, it is strongly advised to book the ferry well in advance of your visit.
